ONE LOVE

Seeing as Valentine’s Day is the day the world acknowledges love, I thought it appropriate to share with some thoughts and experiences of love through chaptered entries. 🙂

I find it funny that the whole reason why we even exist is because of love.  That primal instinct that still  in today’s current civilization drives us to do so many things in the name of love.  I have always been fascinated with love for as long as I can remember, and I’m sure you too have had a fascination of love of your own path!  While questioning the world and all that happens in it (and in the universe), every thing had led me directly to love; the causes, effects, experiences, knowledge, wisdom, and self reflection.  EVERYTHING IS LOVE.

Traveling around the world at a younger age helped me define what love is.  No matter where I went, love was present and at the core of everything.  I saw amazingly beautiful people, living in what we would consider “poor” standards, living extremely happy and lovely lives on a day to day basis.  They were more in tune with the natural environment around them as well, so their love was just not towards each other but to all creation.

I feel I was destined to go on a path to explore and learn love.  When I was younger I grew up and experienced the fierce passion and love the people of Puerto Rico carried.  In Spanish, they called the island “la isla del encanto”, The Island of Love.  And how rightfully fulfilling this name is for such an epic place in the Caribbean.  And for those who have been there or on ANY island for that fact you can see how easy it is to love when you are surrounded by Mother Nature’s beauty.  Puerto Rico….that will definitely be a subject I will be speaking up on laters…..haha 🙂

After living in Puerto Rico for 6 years I moved to “Paradise” aka Hawai’i.  Love there was also synonymous with the daily way of living. Take a look at the word aloha.  It means love, hi, and goodbye!  I have seen that it is love as a greeting and love on your way, basically LOVE in all directions.  So think about that when you mainlanders throw up a shaka and say aloha! It’s love aighttt!!!  Hawai’i is such a beautiful and magical place.  From the surf to the terrain of the island, Hawai’i gave me the opportunity to experience exotic love and to see how to live it in a daily and fun way.  Now I know why Hawai’i is considered the spot for many mainlanders as THE vacation spot….because the love there permeates the air!!

My current understandings  have led me to see love everywhere. I believe it is the energy used to create our environments and experiences, it is the life force that works through all of us that carries us through time.  It is the reason why our hearts beat without us mindfully doing it. Lately I have exploring more of self love and self acceptance.  I mean, it only makes sense seeing that any and all relationships begin with you first and foremost.  I have been going through  a cleansing and healing process to be more in touch within myself, to discover more of my own truths, to get to know myself better.  It’s crazy how there are so many layers to face and see about yourself and all the constructs that you identify with.  I realized I am not these nouns; these persons, places, and things.  I realized that love and happiness are generated within always.  And if you can find a place in your mind, body and soul to love yourself, to forgive yourself, to accept yourself without any kind of judgement, then you can experience the best kinds of love, because nothing on the exterior can influence the strength of love found within.

One Love. Towards all living things, seen and not seen. Because everything distills down to love. One love so much that I had it become a part of my body temple.
